THE RIGHT LEADER:
A CHOICE FOR THE FUTURE

Upon my judgment in the ELEKSYON 2010: Isang Tanong (Part 2). Only Gilberto ‘gibo’ Teodoro has the confidence in answering all the questions that thrown to him, and he have a clear vision in what he really want and what is right...
As for the other candidates they also have point with their answers but not confidence as GIBO. Ex. President Estrada is not an ideal president anymore because of his conviction and if he will win again it is the first time in history that a former pres. and an ex-convict will be a president again, and of course no one could be proud of it. Bayani Fernando is the chairman of MMDA for a long time but then he’s still can’t organize his subordinates so I don’t think he would be a good president. As for bro. Edie, we need a very intelligent leader and brave, though he’s intelligent he still don’t deserve to the position.
I choose Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro to be our next president because he’s very confidence in answering all the questions thrown to him and his very intelligent too. I think Gibo would exemplify what the Filipino wants. With his catchphrase, 'Galing at Talino', his platforms would really mean a better Philippines in the future.

Why Don’t You And I -Feat Chad Kroeger Of Nickelback - Santana Music Code and Lyrics Code

Since the moment I spotted you
Like walking around with little wings on my shoes
My stomach’s filled with the butterflies… uhm…and it’s alright
Bouncing round from cloud to cloud
I got the feeling like I’m never gonna come down
If I said I didn’t like it then you know I’d lied…uhhh

Pre-Chorus
Everytime I try to talk to you
I get tongue-tied
Turns out - that everything I say to you
Comes out wrong and never comes out right

Chorus
So I’ll say why don’t you and I get together and take on the world and be together forever
Heads we will and tails we’ll try again
So I say why don’t you and I hold each other and fly to the moon and go straight on to heaven
Cause without you they’re never gonna let me in

When’s this fever going to break?
I think I’ve handled more than any man can take
I’m like a love-sick puppy chasing you around…uhh
And it’s alright
Bouncing round from cloud to cloud
I got the feeling like I’m never gonna come down
If I said I didn’t like it then you know I’d lied…uhh

Pre-Chorus
Everytime I try to talk to you
I get tongue-tied
Turns out - that everything I say to you
Comes out wrong and never comes out right

Chorus
So I’ll say why don’t you and I get together and take on the world and be together forever
Heads we will and tails we’ll try again
So I say why don’t you and get together and fly to the moon and go straight on to heaven
Cause without you they’re never gonna let me in

And slowly I begin to realize this is never gonna end
Right about the same time you walk by
And I say ‘Oh here we go again’ …ohh

Why the Sheep Has s Big Voice
(A Folklore)

(1) One summer morning a butterfly was amusing itself among the flowers by a roadside. It happened that a sheep passed by and accidentally stepped on the wings of the poor butterfly. The butterfly became angry at the rudeness of the sheep. The latter had the same ill feeling towards the former. The sheep said ,”Why do you get angry at me? If I kick you, you will die ta once, my little friend,”
(2) The butterfly asked help from all insects and requested the cricket to lead the party. This group held a conference. Whereupon they decided the place and time for their meeting and battle against the sheep.
(3) Of coure the sheep did not wish to be defeated ion the figth; so he called for all animals to aid him. The elephant was made the captain of the party.
(4) Both parties agreed to wage the battle on a pond on a certain day.
(5) The time came at last. Both parties went to the designated place. The flies began stinging the bodies of the animals. As a result the latter surrendered to the insects. All the animals swam in order to escape the harm done them by their enemies ,the flies. The sheep was unable to follow the other animals; he had an abundance of hair; so he received all the painful bites of the flies. He shouted until at last his voice became very hoarse,. Now we hear the big voice of the sheep.

The Origin of Birds

and wings appeared. She flew all the time looking for the lost beggar. There once lived a very rich old woman, who cared for nobody except herself .
One day while this woman was baking bread, an aged beggar came asking alms. She did not think of giving the bread she had baked, but instead tried to bake smaller loaf for the beggar. The loaf which was newly baked proved bigger than the woman had expected . She then decided not to the beggar.
Again she made an effort to bake to another loaf as tiny as possible, and gave it to the beggar. She did not see the poor beggar anymore .At last she stopped baking and went around looking for the beggar but she found nobody. After an hour she became small and assumed a crooked stature. Feathers grew at her sides, her arms disappeared.

GANITO NGA PALA
(Salin sa Filipino)

by ;Abdon M. Balde, Jr.

Ganito nga pala
kapag tumanda na;
paggising sa umaga,
natutuwa at buhay pa;
ngunit sa unang kilos
ay parang nakagapos;
pagbangon sa higaan
ang mga buto’y naglalagutukan;
Pag-ihi sa kubeta
ay kailangang umupo pa,
dahil pag nakatayo
sa paa tumutulo.
Ang lugaw na agahan
ay abot nang pananghalian.
Kahit itlog pag nilaga
ay hirap na sa pagngata.
Natitinik lagi sa isda
kahit sardinas na nga.
Ang malunggay na kinain
kung lumabas ay malunggay din.
Nakakainom pa rin sa
totoo
pinakuluang pito-pito.
Umiiwas sa ambon,
sa lamig ng panahon;
dahil pag sinipon
ay hindi na makabangon.
Pag napaupo nang bigla
ay tuloy napapatihaya.
Sa hagdan, kahit pababa
sa pagod ay lawit ang dila.
Kapag tumatawid sa daan,
tumitigil lahat ng sasakyan.
Inaantok sa sinehan
kahit ang palabas ay bakbakan;
Pag nakakita ng bulaklak
ay ataol ang hinahanap.
Sa kaarawan, pag may handa
wala nang panauhing kababata;
habang yakap-yakap ang sarili.

Sand beetle, Sand, and Sea Centipede
By Linda Alburo

(By the way, if the sandbeetle
is no longer in your vocabulary
go drop by and ask Iyo Karyo
because there’s no more sandbeetle
in any new dictionary.
And now, to my poem.)
Now a city dweller, alone I visit
The shore while trying to cool off
There’s blaming and claiming at the old house
After we buried Nanay Biyay.
Long ago we are children, from that rock
Would dive and stir the sea until lunchtime
No matter if we grew as dark as Ogre Kadyo
And towards the setting of the afternoon
We’d pick plenty of sea creatures there
All muddy and straining to carry on the head Coconut shells full of shellfich and sandbeetles
After a while I feel better
Looking at the smooth and clear sea
A girl there sits on her heels
Forming a roof for her house of sand—
What dream does she let curl inside it?
A boy near that fishing boat
Is pulling out some sea centipede—
What hope will he catch with his bait?
Later, I asked out former babysitter
Who those children were
She says they’re from barrio Canbanua—
Cecile, whose mother is in Saudi
And Joaquin, whose father goes in and out of jail.
Now I know that for then as for me
The old shore is also a haven—
The sandbeetle, the sand and the sea centipede
Are playthings of our lovely reverie.

God Said, “I Made a Man
Jose Garcia Villa
God said, “I made a man out of clay-
But so bright he, he spun Himself to the brightest Day
Till he was all shining gold, and oh,
He was handsome to behold!
But in his hands held he a bow
Aimed at me who created him?
And said, “Wouldst murder me
Who am thy Fountainhead?”
Then spoke he the man of gold:
I will not Murder thee! I do but Measure thee.
Hold Thy peace!”
And this I did, but I was curious of this so regal head.
“Give thy name! - “Sir! Genius.”
Leaving as heritage this islet this poem,
You and I, this country yours and mine,
This child dreaming on the edges of life.Region 5
